Minutes of previous AGM
This is the first AGM for the CIO for the Staynor Hall Community Centre. No previous minutes available.
Chairs Report
The Chair welcomed everyone to the meeting, including members of the community whose attendance was noted and most welcome.
Apologies were noted from Heather Gibson, Mike Wynne and Ria Gilchrist.
The chair thanked the members of the CIO and committee members in fundraising activities which have put us in a strong position to open the Community Centre fully equipped to provide the service offering we have aspired to.
She confirmed that handover of the hall to the council is expected by end March, following which the council have commissioned a survey to ensure the build quality before handover to the CIO. The survey and handover are likely to be complete by the end of April.
Financial Report
The Treasurer reported a total income of £15,648.00 since the CIO was formed. This income is composed entirely of donations and fundraising by the trustees and committee members.
Outgoings have totalled £674.42 and £55.00 is held in petty cash.
Forecast of finances for Year 1 indicate an anticipated surplus of £4,876.54 and Year 2 surplus is anticipated to be around £3,439.25.
Secretary’s Report
Notice of resignation as a trustee and committee member has been received from Ria Gilchrist and Mike Wynne in advance of this meeting.
Notice of resignation as a trustee and committee to follow immediately after this AGM has been received from Elaina Wynne.
Election of key Trustee Posts
A motion to re-elect Anna-Marie McGlanaghey to be Chair of the Staynor Hall Community Centre CIO and Committee was raised by Julie Williamson. This nomination was seconded by Carl Gibson. Trustees and committee members were invited to nominate anyone else for this position, but no further nominations were received. This motion was put to vote and was unanimously supported by all trustees and committee members present in the meeting. Anna-Marie McGlanaghey was therefore confirmed as re-elected to the position of Chair.
A motion to re-elect Carl Gibson to be Treasurer of the Staynor Hall Community Centre CIO and Committee was raised by Paul Brice. This nomination was seconded by Anna-Marie McGlanaghey. Trustees and committee members were invited to nominate anyone else for this position, but no further nominations were received. This motion was put to vote and was unanimously supported by all trustees and committee members present in the meeting. Carl Gibson was therefore confirmed as re-elected to the position of Treasurer.
A motion to re-elect Julie Willamson to be Secretary of the Staynor Hall Community Centre CIO and Committee was raised by Anna-Marie McGlanaghey. This nomination was seconded by Carl Gibson. Trustees and committee members were invited to nominate anyone else for this position, but no further nominations were received. This motion was put to vote and was unanimously supported by all trustees and committee members present in the meeting. Julie Williamson was therefore confirmed as re-elected to the position of Treasurer.
Election of new Trustees
A motion to nominate Ben Anderson to be a trustee of the CIO was raised by Julie Williamson. This nomination was seconded by Anna-Marie McGlanaghey. This motion was put to vote and was unanimously supported by all trustees and committee members present in the meeting. Action will now be taken to appoint Ben Anderson as a trustee for the Staynor Hall Community Centre CIO.
A motion to nominate Jasmine Senior to be a trustee of the CIO was raised Carl Gibson. This nomination was seconded by Paul Brice. This motion was put to vote and was unanimously supported by all trustees and committee members present in the meeting. Action will now be taken to appoint Jasmine Senior as a trustee for the Staynor Hall Community Centre CIO.
With no other matters arising the AGM was closed.
