A Charitable Incorporated Organisation

ACCOUNTING NOTES

supporting the work of the The Society of St Wilfrid & St Hilda within the Diocese of Leeds

Income

We began the year with a cheque from Barclays (who had de-banked the charity in 2023) for £492.86; to which was added, also from 2023:

Donations: £265 donated at the Milner Chapel; and Dividends: £88.63, being the last payment in 2023. Gift Aid: through error, we received the due refund twice.

ST RAYMUND ENDOWMENT FUND

formerly known as St Raymund Trust

Charity Commission no.: 1191892 Registered in 2020

DRAFT ANNUAL REPORT FOR 2024

This means the ‘true’ 2024 totals are as follows:

Donations: £237.00 Dividends: £370.70 Gift Aid: £346.78

We still have only one standing order, which is disappointing: there must surely be some others who wish to support the long-term future of the The Society in this diocese.

Our hope has been that we might expand the reach of the Charity to cover the whole of the work of the The Society within the Northern Province. In anticipation of what may prove a major change within the Charity, we have kept the report and accounts in much the same form as in previous years

Trustees: Mr Robert Hall : Mrs Sally Firth Canon Nicholas Turner

Expenditure

No monies were disbursed. We had intended to pay the expenses incurred at the Bishop of Beverley’s Penitential Mass at Leeds Minster in March; but in the end this was covered directly by an individual donation.

Increase to capital

No more shares were bought. This will be remedied in 2025.
