## ACCOUNTING NOTES 

1. **Income** Sadly, we have only a single Standing Order.  Such regular gifts from our committed supporters ought to be a solid and dependable source of income:  the lack is disappointing. 

2. **Expenditure** We are grateful to Parcevall Hall and the Walsingham trustees for their generous support for the ministry of the chapel. 

3. **Increase to capital** Our capital consists of shares in the Church of England Central Board of Finance Investment Fund (Income shares), a fund specifically set up and managed for church charities.  We bought 30.76 more shares, for £650, on 27[th] June; this gives us a total of 545.39 shares on 31.12.22, worth £11,290.

## ANNUAL REPORT FOR 2022 

THE TRUST was originally started in 2008 to support the work of Forward in Faith in the old Diocese of Bradford.  It was then extended to the new Diocese of Leeds, and was registered as a fully fledged CIO with the Charity Commission in 2020. 

Why **St Raymund** ?  Charity regulation decreed that the trust should be distinct from FiF, and in no way confused with it.  We decided to name ourselves after a Saint of the Church, most of whom had already been taken by one charity or another;  until we discovered the heroic and indefatigable St Raymund (1204–1240), who gave his life to the freeing of Christian men and women from slavery in North Africa. 

The trust seeks to offer a rising annual income to support The Society in Leeds diocese, in the long-term.  At the moment, £320 a year can achieve little;  but if the income can increase over the years, our figurative grand-children will thanks us later in the century. 

Our principal support this year has been for the **Milner Chapel** (also known as the Garden Chapel) at Parcevall Hall, administered by the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham.  Now re-opened after Covid, and reserved to clergy of The Society, a monthly Mass has been celebrated (Nov–Jan excepted)  [For further details:  canonannturner@icloud.com]
