potential to build and have our own club in
the town.
Junior coaching sessions have continued
to go well with 30 Juniors involved in 2
different sessions each week.
We have run 3 ladies squash nights a week
with 31 signed up.
We’ve also run a weekly ‘improver’ training
session with 8 attending.
The Squash into the Community Project
has had 3 groups involved over the year
with 45 children involved.
Successfully ran 4 teams in the
Leicestershire League.
Internal leagues had an average of 66
players involved.
1-1 Squash coaching sessions are popular|
with around 35 people benefitting. Club Tournaments run for the second time for Men, Women and Juniors. We ran Summer training sessions from June - August with 12 involved each week. We’ve had 11 coaches involved: 5 paid and 6 volunteers. We also ran a family morning for juniors and their families which resulted in at least 12 new players (mothers, friends and siblings), with 2 fathers inspired to get back on court in the leagues. In terms of growth and new players joining: We have 24 ‘new to squash’ players since Dec 2023 We have had 25 ‘returners’ since Dec 2023 22 BME players/coaches (across all categories) 2 young sports leaders in the year.
