Activities

The Charity aims to alleviate the suffering of our fellow humans through activities in the fields of education, vocational training and skills development, healthcare, drinking water and sanitation, mainly in UK and India. We will do this by supporting existing work by organisations who we approve, and through our own work.

Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are: 1. For The Public Benefit, To Advance Education In Such Ways As The Charity Trustees Think Fit, In Particular But Not Exclusively By:* Providing Scholarships, Maintenance Allowances Or Grants To Enable Those In Need To Attend School, College, University Or Institution Of Higher Or Further Education;* Providing And Assisting In The Provision Of Facilities Not Required To Be Provided By The Local Education Authority For Education At The School Or Other Educational Facility.2. The Relief Of Poverty, Sickness And Suffering By Providing Grants, Items And Services To Individuals In Need And/or Charities, Or Other Organisations Working To Prevent Or Relieve Poverty, Sickness And Suffering. In Particular, But Not Exclusively By: * Providing Essential And Basic Supplies Designed To Improve The Conditions Of Life Of Those In Need; * Providing Or Assisting In The Provision Of Projects To Provide Access To Safe Water And Sanitation;* Providing Or Assisting In The Provision Of Healthcare Projects Such As Medical Camps Or Mobile Clinics.3. The Promotion Of Religious Harmony For The Benefit Of The Public By Providing Grants To Charities, Or Other Organisations Working To:* Educate The Public In Different Religious Beliefs Including An Awareness Of Their Distinctive Features And Their Common Ground To Promote Good Relations Between Persons Of Different Faiths;* Promote Knowledge And Mutual Understanding And Respect Of The Beliefs And Practices Of Different Religious Faiths.
