## . Annual report 1st April 23 to 31 March 2024
Aims & Objectives Joels Goals initial aim was to provides support for young victims and families of children that have been subjected to hate crime. This work has progressed to work with those with Mental health issues, that could lead to suicidal thoughts, after being subjected to hate crimes, or PTSD after witnessing or finding a suicide victim. We continue to listen and provide advice guidance and practical support referencing agencies to alleviate their sense of hurt, shock and loneliness. We provide a listening ear and a range of health improving materials, both independently or via our referral partners.
Summary of activities,
April 2023
Further planning and script writing and meetings via zoom and in person with a Filmmaker to arrange details for the forthcoming Film using Joels experience as a victim of revenge pornography.
## May 2023
We organised a Family Funday this month which took place on the 28[th] May 2023. The event took place locally in Liverpool were Joels Goals is based. This provided the opportunity to meet families introducing ourselves whilst raising awareness. Joels Goals provided a Barbecue along with sandwiches, drinks and sweets. In addition a much appreciated raffle with superb prizes. A children’s entertainer plus a Motown singer also attended providing great entertainment for all.
## June 2023
In the main this month founder Ruth Crockett organized a walk & Coffee event for Trustees and family & friends of Joels Goals.
## July 2023
Following some networking and feedback from various homeless charities another meet and greet was provided within Liverpool City centre raising awareness to the importance of talking to one another and a listening ear.

Further meetings an planning for the scheduled filming to take place. In addition, planning of activities and scope for ideas took place
## September 2023
An increase within the Charity social media emerged since the agreement for John Aldridge to become patron for Joels Goals Charity.
## October 2023
Trustees and friends of Joels goals attended a social event an evening with John Aldridge. This took place at the Liverpool Irish centre
## November 2023
A meeting took place to speak with potential for new trustees to provide a male mental health reach out weekly event Donation received from the Co-Op £2,088.77 to assist with Filming for Joels Goals
## December 2023
With view to set up a mens mental health taking group we started looking for a suitable venue to launch the forth coming weekly event.
## January 2024
We secured accommodation at Big Life Liverpool to rent a room weekly for the trial mens mental health talking group. Donation received Marks & Spencers £775.58
