Independent Examiner's Report to the trustee/members of Masjid-E-Quba Association Ltd
We report on the accounts for the year ended 31st August 2021 which are set out on page 4.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity's trustees consider that an audit in not required for this year (under section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the Act) and that an independent examination is needed.
It is our responsibility to:
examine the accounts (under section 43 of the Act),
to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 43(7)(b) of the Act),and
to state whether particular matters have come to our attention.
Basis of independent examiner's report
Our examination was carried out in accordance with General directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a true and fair' view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
Independent examiner's statement
In the course of our examination, no matter has come to our attention:

which gives us reasonable cause to believe that in, any material respect, the requirements: to keep accounting records in accordance with section 41 of the Act; and
-
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the 1993 Act; have not been met; or
-
to which, in our opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

In order to assist you to fulfil your duties under the Companies Act 2006, we have prepared for your approval the accounts of Masjid-E-Quba Association Ltd for the year ended 31 August 2022 which comprise of the Income and Expenditure Account, the Balance Sheet, the Statement of Changes in Equity and the related notes from the company’s accounting records and from information and explanations you have given us.

The directors are satisfied that the company is entitled to exemption from the requirement to obtain an audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006.
The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Act.
The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.
The accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the special provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime. The profit and loss account has not been delivered to the Registrar of Companies.

1 Accounting policies
Basis of preparation
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with FRS 102, The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (as applied to small entities by section 1A of the standard).
Tangible fixed assets
Tangible fixed assets are measured at cost.
Freehold buildings over 50 years
Creditors
Short term creditors are measured at transaction price (which is usually the invoice price). Loans and other financial liabilities are initially recognised at transaction price net of any transaction costs and subsequently measured at amortised cost determined using the effective interest method.
