## SERV Surrey & London 

## Year ended December 2023 

## **Asset Value** 

Total assets as at December 2023 were valued as follows: 

Cash in bank accounts  £123.3k Fleet Valuation £129.2k Non-Fleet assets                  £5.8k -----------Total £258.3k 

This represents and increase of £12.9k in cash and £16.7k in fleet value year to year, increasing the overall asset position of SERV by £29.6k year to year. 

## **Income** 

Total income was £89.8k which was an increase of £5k year to year.   £46k was raised through fund raising events, £17.5k from donations/ collections, £16.4k from sale of vehicles and £5.6k from Air Ambulance.   This represents huge effort and generosity of both members and the public and for which the Charity is extremely grateful.  The largest contributions were per below but all contributions, no matter how small, are appreciated. 

- £28.6k raised through Unilever’s Great Walk. 

- £16.4k from sale of vehicles (Lynn, Mason, Satoshi and Toothless). 

- £5.6k from KSSAA (Air Ambulance) 

- £4.5k helmet park at MCN 

- $4k Chantries Rotary 

## **Expenditure:** 

Total expenditure was £74.8k. This included capital spend of £42k on the purchase of Phoebe, the new van,  and on Marty, the new electric zero.   Operational spend was £32.4k of which £23.8k was spent on the operational management of the fleet including maintenance, insurance and petrol.  The remaining operating expenditure was primarily spent on IT and telephony. 

## **Summary** 

The financial position of SERV Surrey and London remains healthy with significant increase in both fixed and liquid assets.  The charity has re-appraised the reserve requirement reducing 



it from £60k to £30k.  This provides cover of c12 months operational spend with additional cover from sale of fleet vehicles in the event of a full crisis.
