Objects and aims
The main puy of the Charity is to apply the income fer the benefit of su¢h charitable bxlies or
such other charitable wrposes as Ihe Trustees shall decide.
The Charity's income consists predominantly of investment Income, ￿lch is distributed lo charitable
ganisations at the discretion of the Trustees. after meeting administration and govemance costs.
The Trustees do not make grants to individuals.
Public benefft
The trustees confim) that they have complied wth the requirements of section 17 of the Charilies Act
2011 to have due regard to the public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission tor
England and Wales.
Achlevements and perforniance
The charity made grants to organisations totall1￿ £132,OCQ12024.' £100,OCIJ) during the year in line
with ils charitable objectives.
In November 2024. the Trustees launched a website for the Charity. ￿lch may k found al
.thecpftrust.org.uk.
Financial review
During the year the incoming resources tolall8J £130,230 12024.. £130,634) of which £2,861
represents an addition to the expendable capital of the charity12024'. £5,179).

The total fund is an exFendable endowrnent.
The Trustees have considered the requirement for free reserves, being those funds which ￿maIn
un-invested and uncommitted. They have agreed that the Charity's reserves should be al least
£40,000. The reserves at the end of the year exceed this amount but are to Ix used to m&t the
Charity's objective&
Investnwnt pollcy and objectlves
There are no restrictions on the Charfty's power to Snvesl. The Trustees have apwinted Chartes
Stanley investment managers to act on an advisory management ba51S.
The over811 policy is to adopt a mediurn Tisk investment strategy based on produc4ng a balance of
income arKi capital growih over the medium term.
At the year end the Charity's listed investment portfolio was valued at £1,381.259.

The CPF Trust is a charitable company limit8J by guarantee, incorporated On 15 June 2020 when it
converted from the preViou￿Y registered ¢harity12624681 ￿lch was established and govemed by
Trust Deed dated 3 March 1971.The charity is now governed under its Articles of Association.
In the event of the charity being ￿Und up, rnemkers (the Tru5teesl are required to ¢onlribute £1.

Republic of Ireland" The report and accounts have been prepared in accordance wth the provisions
in the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.
Cornpany law requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year. Under
company law the Irusl*s must not approve the financial statements unless they are satisfied that
they give a true and fair view of the stale of affairs of the charitable company and of the incomirrfJ
resources and application of resour￿$, including its income and expenditu￿, of the charitable
company for that period. In preparing these financial statements, the trustees are required lo..

2 Accounting policies
Summary of signlflcant accountlng pollcle8 and key accounllng eslimates
The principal accounting policies applied in the preparation of these financial statements are set out
below. These policies have been Gonsistenly applied to all the years presented. unless otherwise
stated.
Statement of compllance
The financial statements have been prepared in accordan￿ with Accounting and Reporting by
Charities.. Slatement of Recommended Practitt (applicable to Charities preparing their accounts in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland {FRS
102)) {issued in October 2019) - (Charities SORP IFRS 102)), the Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 102} and the Companies Act 2006.
Basis of preparation
The CPF Trust meets the definition of 8 public benefit entity under FRS 102. Assets and liabilities are
initially recognised at historlcal cost or transaction value unless olhawse stated in the relevant
counting policy notes.
The financial statements a￿ prepared in sterling, which is the functional currerry of the entity.
Golng concern
The trustees consider that there are no material uncertainties about the charity's ability to continue as
a going concem nor any significant areas of uncertainty that af1￿t the carrying value of assets held by
the charity.
Judgements and key Sources of estimation uncortainty
The preparation of the financial statements requires management to make judgements. estimates and
assumptions that affect the amounts reported. These estimates and judgements are continually
reviewed and are based on experience and other factors, including exFfjCtations of future events that
are believed lo be reasonable under the circumstances.

Income and endowments
All income is included in the statement of financial activities when entitlement has passed to the
charity, it is probably that the economic benefits associated with the transaction will flow to the charity
and the amount can be measured reliably. The follovAng specific policies are aFplied to particular
categories of income".
Donations andloga¢io$
income from donations or grants is recognised then there is eviden￿ of entitlement to the gift,
receipt is probable and its amount can be measured reliably.
Investment Income
Dividends are recognised once the dividend ha5 been declared and notification has been re￿iVed of
the dividend due.
Expendlture
Expenditure is recognised on an accruals basis as a l1a￿.11ty is incurred. ExFenditure includes any
VAT thich cannot be fully recovered, and is classifi* under headings of the statement of financial
activities lo which it relates as de￿nbed below.
Raislng funds
These are costs incurred in attractiro voluntsry income, thg management of investments and those
incurred in trading activities that raise funds.
Charitable activities
Charitable expenditure comprises those costs i￿Uffed by the charity in the delivery of it8 activities
and services for its beneficiaries. 11 includes toth costs that can te allocated directly lo Such activities
and those costs of an indirect nature necessary to 8UPPOrt them.
Taxation
The charity is considered to pass the tests set out in Paragraph 1 Schedule 6 of the Finance Act 2010
and therefore it meets the definition of a charitable company for UK corporation tax purposes.
Accordingly, Ihe Charity is potentially exempl from taxatim in ￿spect of income or capital gains
received ￿thin categories covered by Chapter 3 Part 11 of the Corporation Tax Act 2010 or Section
256 of the Taxation of Chargeable Gains Act 1992. to the extent that such income or gains are
applied exclusivety to charitable purposes.
Tangiblo fixed assets
Individual fix8J assets costing £100.00 or more are initially recorded at cost, less any subwuent
accumulatgj depreciation and subsequent accumulated impaimient losses. Any tangible assets
carried at revalu￿1 amounts are recorded at the fair value at the date of revaluation less any
subsequent accumulated depreciation and subsequent accumulat8J impairment losses.
An increase in the carrying amount of an asset as a result of a revaluation, is recognised in other
recognised gains and losses, unless it reverses a charge for impairment Ihat has previously b*n
recognised as expendilure wthin the statement of financia activities. A decwse in the carrying
amount of an asset as a result of revaluatlcfft, 15 recognised in other recognised gains and losses,
except to which it offsets any previous revaluation gain, in which case the loss is shown within other
recognised gains and losses on the statement of financial activikn'es.

Impaimient of fixed assets
A review for indicators of impaimient is Ca￿led out at each ￿porting date, the recoverable
amount teing estimated Whe￿ such indicators exist. Where the carrying valLte eX￿edS the
recoverab￿ amount the asset is impair8J ￿1rdir01y. Prior impairments are also reVIe￿d for
possible reversal at each reporting date.
For the purposes of impairment lesling, when it is not possible to estimate the recoverable arnount of
an individual asset, an estimate is made of the recoverable amount of the cash-generaling unit lo
which the asset belongs. The cash-generaling unit is the smallest identifiable group of assets Ihal
in¢ludes the asset and generates cash inflows that are largely independent of the cash tbows from
other assets or groups Of assets.
Fixed as$ot investmonts
Unlisted equity investments are initially recorded at cost. and subsequently measured at fair val￿. If
fair value cannot be reliably measured, assets are measured at cost less impairment.
Listed investments are measured at fair value, with changes in fair value being reco]nised in income
or expenditure.
Cash and cash equlvalents
Cash and cash equivalents comprise cash on hand and call deposits, and other short-lerm highly
liquid investments that are readily convertille to a known amount of cash and are subject to an
insignificant risk of change in value.
Fund structure
Unrestricted income funds are general funds that are available for use at the trustees, discretion in
furtherance of the objectives of the charity.
