To advance the education, for the benefit of the public in the subject of
Taoism; including the cultural arts, science and philosophy of Taoism, in
particular but not exclusively by the holding of meditations, community
classes and producing and /or distributing literature.

Through year and especrally during planning meetings the trustees
have taken into account the guidan￿ issued by the Charity Commission
on public benefit (ref. Charities and public benefit - January 2008, as
amended December 2011).
In accordance with the stated Objectives of the charity, during 2024125
the ITS has supported community dasses and workshops throughout the
UK to educate the public on the subject of Taoism.
We have continued our search for a suitable property to become our UK
headquarters and have bought a property, Sandford Lodge, Kirkstall
Leeds, in December 2024 which we renamed Sea Cloud Hall.
The purchase of Sea Cloud Hall helped us raise sufficient funds from
members and the general public to buy it outright and we are very
grateful for the practical and financial support of our members in this
purchase.

Summary of the main
achievements of the charity
during the year
Achievements aiid performance
This yearthe ITS have finally achieved our aim to establish a permanent
home of our own in the "Sea Cloud Hall" which we purchased in
December 2024 in Leeds, UK. We believe this will help increase
membership and aid fundraising in the future as we now have a
permanent base from which to expand the teachings of the ITS.
The purchases of Sea Cloud hall was a time consuming affair and the
ITS would especially like to thank the team of dedicated volunteers who
gave many hours of their time, for free, to facilitate the purchase as well
as our many members who contributed financially.
When we bought Sea Cloud Hall it was in a very good state of repair
however we have made some cosmetic changes, planting OLrt boarders
and removing some of the wiring etc. associated with the buildings
previous use as a call centre. We are now planning further
improvements.
We started running classes in Sea Cloud Hall in January 2025 and have
started classes for the benefit of the general public as well as specialist
classes for the Over 60's and children.
The ITS is grateful to the volunteers who give their time and expertise
free of charge and who have worked especially hard this year.

The ITS currently holds £25,096 cash in the bank as unrestricted funds
and designated restricted funds, this is in line with the ITS reserves policy
which was reviewed in July 2024.
