Notes to the Accounts ## 1. Basis of accounting These accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention with items recognised at cost or transaction value. The accounts have been prepared in accordance with: * the Statement of Recommended Practice: Accounting and Reporting by Charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) issued on 16 July 2014 • and with the Charities Act 2011. The charity constitutes a public benefit entity as defined by FRS 102. ## 2. Financial Policies ## 2.1. Reserves The Trustees consider that it is not possible, at a time of great volatility for food banks, to determine the Reserves Policy for the Charity. ## 2.2. Income. The charity has adopted standard accounting practices for income except that donations in kind have not been valued. During the year we served a total of 338 people (2022 211), many of them multiple times, a total of 4806 meals. Also 89 individuals benefited from Christmas food parcels ## 5. Funds administered as an Agent During the Year the Charity received and distributed £Nil (2022 £9,000) Levelling up Funding from South Holland District Council. This item has been excluded from these accounts. ## 6. Trustees Expenses Trustees were reimbursed for travel expenses amounting to £2,033 (2022 £152) due to reduced local donations ~~~~~~~~~~
