**over 300 free roaming dogs on the Island of**
**Sal thus reducing the population we also**
**took part in a campaign run by the WVS that**
**neutered a further 800. These dogs were**
**micro chipped and treated for internal and**
**external parasites. We have rehomed 20 dogs**
**on the Island that were living the Municipal**
**Kennels to responsible owners providing**
**support and education regarding appropriate**
**care of animals. Ongoing support and**
**aftercare is offered to all rehomed dogs.**
**We have built a large shaded area in the**
**kennels enabling the dogs to exercise daily**
**whilst being protected by the harmful**
**elements of sun and wind.**
**Unfortunately, our vehicle was involved in a**
**hit and run accident causing substantial**
**damage and expense to our Charity.**
**The dogs in the Municipal Kennels continue**
**to be treated monthly for parasite prevention**
**all are now neutered and we are improving**
**the living conditions and dietary needs. We**
**now have a vet visiting weekly to check on**

**neutering campaign in March 2022**
**involving the WVS, neutering over 600**
**dogs. All dogs were micro chipped,**
**treated for parasites and treated by the**
**vets for minor ailments where needed.**
**This will reduce the number of**
**unwanted puppies being born and**
**further increasing the already massive**
**population of free roaming dogs on the**
**Island of Sal.**
**This not only benefits the dog**
**population that are already**
**malnourished and suffering but also the**
**public from the dangers of being bitten**
**by dogs gathering in packs looking for**
**food and fighting over un neutered**
**females. Less dogs also decreases the**
**amount of dog fouling in public places.**
**In the Municipal Kennels dogs now are**
**fed staple diets and are free from**
**infestation of ticks and disease and**
**starvation. Their living conditions have**
**vastly improved and there is now an**
**outside exercise area.**
**Although the exercise area had been**
**completed last year the strong sun still**
**prevented the dogs exercising. This**
**year we decided to erect a massive**
**metal canopy that would be strong**
**against the wind and give extensive**
**shading, this has been a great asset for**
**the dogs.**

It is my responsibility to:_ a) Examine the accounts to ensure that they have been prepared in accordance with general accounting principles. b) State whether any particular matters have come to my attention. BASIS OF INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes considearion of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below. INDEPENDEKf EXAMINER'S STATEMENT In connection with my examination no matter has corne to rny attention:_ l. Which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements: a) To keep accounting records and b) To prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the charity.
