**roaming dogs on the Island of Sal thus**
**reducing the population we also took part in**
**a campaign that neutered a further 200.**
**These dogs were micro chipped and treated**
**for internal and external parasites. Many**
**free roaming dogs have been treated for**
**illnesses and injury. We have rehomed a**
**number of dogs to responsible owners**
**providing support and education regarding**
**appropriate care of animals. Ongoing**
**support and aftercare is offered to all**
**rehomed dogs.**
**The dogs in the Municipal Kennels are now**
**treated monthly for parasite prevention all**
**are now neutered and we are improving the**
**living conditions and dietary needs. We**
**continue this work along with finding**
**responsible ownership. An outside exercise**
**area has now been completed and the**
**charity has provided shading from the**

**campaign in March 2021 neutering 78**
**dogs in a week. All dogs were micro**
**chipped, treated for parasites and**
**treated by the vets where needed. We**
**also assisted in 2 further campaigns in**
**which over 400 dogs being neutered,**
**micro chipped and treated.**
**This will reduce the number of**
**unwanted puppies being born and**
**further increasing the already massive**
**population of free roaming dogs on the**
**Island of Sal.**
**This not only benefits the dog**
**population that are already**
**malnourished and suffering but also the**
**public from the dangers of being bitten**
**by dogs gathering in packs looking for**
**food and fighting over un neutered**
**females. Less dogs also decreases the**
**amount of dog fouling in public places.**
**In the Municipal Kennels dogs now are**
**fed staple diets and are free from**
**infestation of ticks and disease and**
**starvation. Their living conditions have**
**vastly improved and there is now an**
**outside exercise area.**
**The kennels are now not only a better**
**place for the dogs but also for the**
**employers to work. This need to be**
**worked on for the future now.**
**We have struck up a good relationship**
**with the Camara Municipal on the Island**
**who now accept us and the Charity**

It is my responsibility to.. a) Examine the accounts to ensure ihat they have been prepared in accordance with general accounting principles. b) State whether any particular matters have come to my attention. BASIS OF INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the a¢¢ounls presented with tliose records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the ¢vid¢nc¢ that would be required in ai) audit and consequently no opinion is given as to wheiher the accounts present a 'true and fair view, and lh¢ report is limited to those matters set out in Ihe statement below.
