We provided help and support to families who had<br>lost loved ones in arranging burial and funerals.<br>This year we organised a very successful clothes collection. Adults<br>and����������������������������������������������<br>people in the UK. The donated clothes were sorted and sent to<br>Pakistan to help the poor and those in need who benefited greatly.<br>We specifically asked for Pakistani clothing, jumpers, jackets, and<br>shoes so that people could benefit the most in the Winter cold<br>season.<br>Over 1500kg of clothes were sent to Pakistan via cargo or taken by<br>our trustees while travelling to Pakistan. These donated clothes<br>and shoes were then distributed in different areas in and around<br>Jhelum, Pakistan.<br>One of the distributions took place in Jhelum, where anyone who<br>was in need in the community could come with dignity and respect.<br>Another clothes distribution took place in a rural area in District<br>Gujrat, Pakistan. Clothes were distributed to families living in poor,<br>overcrowded living conditions. Clothes were also distributed in a<br>residential home, in Jhelum where residents included old people<br>and those with disabilities or learning difficulties who have no loved<br>ones or anyone to care for them.<br>Free hot meals were provided to around 200 people in the<br>community in Jhelum, Pakistan. This Ramadan, we provided 160<br>families with food packs.<br>On Eid ul Adha 2021 we distributed Qurbani meat to around 700<br>people.|

## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

Since Al-Qiyas Welfare began, we have provided hot meals to over 450 people in the community in Jhelum. Over 300 families have benefited from our food pack distributions. Over 1000 families have benefited from our Qurbani meat distributions. This year, we had an amazing response from our clothes collection. Over 1500kg of donated clothes were distributed among people in need in and around Jhelum, Pakistan. We have provided financial support for 9 funerals. Kafan (shrouds) and burial essentials according to Islamic tradition were provided completely free to families in need who had lost loved ones.
