## **Objectives and Activities**
The charity has worked towards it’s objectives:
1. Relieving the suffering and distress of hedgehogs in need of care of care and attention and provided provision of rescue, treatment and rehabilitation for abandoned, neglected and injured hedgehogs.
2. Advancing the education of the public into the care, methods of treatment, conservation and habitat of hedgehogs
The main activities of the charity are to encourage the public to engage and ensure that sick and injured hedgehogs are identified and provided the care and assistance they need, and to then facilitate and administer that.
The trustees have had regard to guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit.
## **Achievements and Performance**
The charity has continued to build a strong social media presence and been publicised by local media outlets to further the reach to members of the public in regard to providing care and assistance to UK wildlife.
The charity has rescued, rehabilitated, and released as many hedgehogs as has been practical, and has ensured that when required suffering has been ended.
The charity has finally started the process of having an outbuilding built for the use of the rescue after struggling to find a suitable company to undertake the work.
## **Financial Review**
The charity is in a healthy financial position thanks to donations from the public, and a number of donation giving services that the charity has signed up to. The charity currently does not have a policy for holding reserves and as such holds £0.00 in reserve
The charity is in a healthy financial state, so has no current need to hold reserves.
## **Structure, Governance and Management**
The charity is a CIO setup under a foundation model constitution, with a minimum of two trustees, and no maximum number.
Apart from the first charity trustees, every trustee must be appointed [for a term of [three] years] by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the charity trustees. In selecting individuals for appointment as charity trustees, the charity trustees must have regard to the skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effective administration of the CIO.
