Section D Achievements and performance

ACHIEVEMENTS Summary of the main Continued fundraising during Covid has proved difficult, but sales of rescue achievements of the charity calendars, bespoke mugs and Christmas cards has gone very well. A justgiving during the year page has continued to raise money via the rescue website from unknown donors. Bearing in mind that we were in the middle of Covid, a wonderful 39 dogs were rehomed during 2021. We switched to virtual homechecks by our volunteers and rehomed in accordance with the current Covid regulations, which sometimes proved very interesting. Having taken on two disabled Labrador puppies, both with Cerebellar Hypoplasia, one that is also blind in one eye and the other with terminal kidney disease, they continue to amaze and inspire us on how they are so resilient. We cover medical costs for both when needed, which is a huge undertaking for such a small and relatively new Charity. We offered financial support for a chocolate Labrador, who had external cancer of the eye which required treatment to remove the cancer and finally removal of the eye. He is now absolutely fine. He’s 13. He needed our help as no other charity would help. Four Paws – A massive thanks to Siobhan and her team for their continued and ongoing support. Robert Fleming - Thanks go to Robert and Cheryl who fundraised in memory of their deceased Labrador Tiki. A thank you to our adopters for loving our dogs and also to the families who have returned and adopted another from us.
