Ramsey Heritage Partnership was officially formed as a CIO on xxx with the following aims.
The advancement of education for the public benefit in the heritage and local history of Ramsey and the surrounding areas in such ways as the trustees think fit including by:
Raising public awareness of the heritage of the local area and of local heritage sites;
Providing learning opportunities for residents and visitors of all ages;
Supporting local history research and promotion and publicity of the findings.
The CIO developed from an informal partnership which included the local heritage groups and other interested organisations and individuals. Initially, the Partnership supported the Discover Ransey Project funded by Ramsey Million Big Local and subsequently he Ramsey Journey Through Time project funded by The Heritage Lottery Fund.
The activities in this reporting period were hindered by continuing Covid restrictions.
However, the CIO established a bank account, a new logo and established regular meetings. These were conducted by Zoom and were generally well attended. The Trustees oversaw the working of the Partnership. We had a stall at a local market event where we publicised the partnership and distributed membership forms. We liaised with the local church flower festival opening the Abbey House for visitors. We publicised and supported the reassures of Ramsey Exhibition organised by Warboys Archaeology Group who attend partnership meetings.
We were unable to hold a planned Heritage Day in the spring but we did hold a September heritage day under the auspices of the National Heritage Open Days scheme. This used the theme Edible England and individual groups organised the following:

Walled Garden – history of apples

Church - displays of real food and photos which promote Harvest Festival.

Museum - Concentrating on agricultural element, farming, local crops and workers.

Abbey House - Eel tides (levy all the way to Brancaster). Photographs and Great Fen may have some artifacts.

Mortuary Chapel – Information about Papworth potatoes.
The event was a great success with individual venues receiving about 500 visitors.
Plans were underway to support a Halloween event.
