The club is run by a group of volunteers who h9ve all attended
Safeguarding training courses, First Aid courses and all have had
enhanced DBS checks rArried out.

The volunteers who train the members have all passed England Boxing
Coaching courses.
The club is affiliated to Ihe Essex Boys and Girls Clubs and England
Boxing We have in place a Child Protection Policy which, along with the
DBS checks are available to par8nts to so9.
We also have codes of practice for Members, Volunteers, Trainers and
Parents.

To promote community participation in healthy recreation by providing
facilities and coaching in boxing and other sport5 capable of promoting
healthy recreation for the public benefit of those residing in the Maldon
District and the surrounding area.

Providing a safe environment for the local youngsters to take part in
sport, namely boxing.
Our volunteer coaches all have enhanced DBS checks and have attained
coaching qualifications through England Boxing which our club is
affiliated to.
Our members are encouraged to progress to inter Club sparring sessions
and to represent the club in Gompetition if they wish.

As well as coaching we provide a wide range of filness activities to help
with the overall fitness of our youngsters.
The feedback we have from parents is all very positive regarding the
fitness and growing confidence of and attitudes of the youngsters.
We ensure our gym is a safe and very friendly place and a¢tively
encourage interaction with each other and all the coaching and
volunteers.

All the coaches and volunteers are happy to give their time and energy in
ensuring the young people have a safe and very positive experience.

as ensuring the premises are a safe and clean environment, the
equipment is fit for purpose and all the admin required to ensure club is

Achievements and performance

during the year
The Club relocated during September 2024 to newer premises wilh
reduction in rent.
Training has been adjusted as follows..
Juniors (to age 121131 Monday & Wednesdays 5pm to 6pm
Seniors (12113 +) Monday & Wednesday Evenings 6.30pm to 8pm
Additional sessions for carded boxers on Friday's 6.30pm lo 8pm
The club has also seen growth in numbers and strong relenlion, with
many now having moved to a monthly rolling membership basis rather
than pa5 as you go.
There has been an increase in cardedlcompetilive boxers to circa around
10 ahead ofthe upcoming season, many of whom are looking to also
oiiipele iii box Gup arid nalivri<il Ghampion5hip5, which is inspiring to
other members.
We have regular sparring sessions with other local clubs which our
youngsters really look forward to.

We do not have a policy on resetves as such, however, our relocation
and increased membership we feel will see an increase in available
resetves.
