Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
The club now has six junior and six senior members boxing competitively for the club with great success.
One of our junior girls recently became English Schoolgirl National Champion at the age 12. She originally came to the club with a friend following our reopening after lockdown with no aspirations as to what she wanted from attending. It soon became apparent that she had a natural ability which gave her the confidence to improve.
Several of our other boxers have had successes at various boxing shows and it certainly inspires the other members.
We have regular sparring sessions with other local clubs which our youngsters really look forward to.
As well as other clubs visiting us we also travel to other clubs to give our boxers the opportunity to see how other clubs are run.
