## _**Structure, governance and management**_ 

Maldon Boxing Academy CIO is a charitable incorporated organisation. and is Affiliated to England Boxing and Essex Boys & Girls Clubs. 

The Management of the Organisation are also Charity trustees for the purposes of Charity Law and are voted for at the Annual General Meeting. All Management give their time voluntarily and receive no benefits from the Charity. We have a safeguarding vulnerable beneficiaries policy in place by carrying out Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and complete suitability checks. Every member of our team has been fully trained, or is undergoing training. 



## _**Objects and activities**_ 

The objects of the Organisation are to use amateur boxing and other sport as a mechanism to improve the wellbeing, fitness and confidence of all youngsters regardless of gender, ethnicity and regardless of abilities, either mental or physical. To advance the education of children and young people to develop their full capabilities including volunteering and coaching development through participation in sport. 

## _**Achievements and Performance**_ 

The Academy continues to attract new members from the local and surrounding areas. The Coronavirus pandemic has prevented us from organising as many events and activities as we would have liked to.. It is hoped that, with the removal of the pandemic restrictions, activities will resume. 

## _**Responsibilities of the Trustees**_ 

- In preparing those Financial Statements the Trustees should follow best practice and; a) Select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently b) Make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent; and c) Prepare the Financial Statements on the going concern basis unless it is not appropriate to assume that the Company will continue on that basis.

As the charity's trustees. you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011
(°the Act.).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examinalion. I
have followed all the applicable Direclions given by Iha Charity Commission
under section 145151(bl of the Act.
Independent I have completed my examination. I confimi that no material matters have
examiner's statement com6 to my att8ntion in conneciion with the examination.
