As you know its been a while since the broth¢r of th¢ OV4ner Owen Hinchliffe passed and as you know
he decided to give our charity his share of the land at Northwood Camp where FV 3805 is situated
Lurr¢ntly bein¥ run by the wighi militsry and heritage charitiabe trust .
The bad news is we are still awaiting probate which has now taken over two years . It seems the
inheritance tax people yet again made a mistake and incorrectly included a discretionary pension in
theitr final calculations . They have been infonned of this over two months ago and again more recently
by post .
Once w¢ have probaie it will be a hug¢ change as our charity viill have to maintain the site but will also
r￿e1Ve some income from it so hopefully from nexl year we will have the funds to really get stuck into
the r¢storJtivn and ulbo th¢ tyonstruclion of a building to house it . With thi5 in mind flm hab. also
decided to return as a In￿le¢ .
The 0￿]er yours truly Jon , Hinchliff¢ has again been mostly in the USA and no forn)al charity

activities took place on the vehicle though our thanks go out to Mr John Fisher and others for the
remedial works he carried out at personal expence .
As you know we created a fornial memorial garden at Northwood camp for service members their
families and supporters and are currently improving and maintaining it as an asset for the public -
Many thanks to those who worked on this . Thanks also to Jon. Hinchliffe for paying entirely for this
out of Pmxket .
The vehicle is still outside though once space is available in the museum building ( either existing or
hopefully within the new workshop designed and with planning perniission )
The OMTLers current financial and work commitments cutrently prevent him from financing thi5
workshop though once probate for the ¢stat¢ of Owen Hinchliffe is achieved this will change t
Please do not discuss this with others as until all is legally sorted out we do not want any conflict with
the CO of that charity who in my opinion basically nms it as a family business ( having Stacked it with
truslees who are either family members or under his influence ) . Jon Hinchliffe who is a founding
trus'lee of the Wighi milli￿ and Heritage museum as well as th¢ Lv owner of the sile noi been
made aware of any trustees meetings since Covid and not had any e mails or other communications
from the CO either as of April 2022 . He is in process of contscting the charities comission with the
hope that their int¢rv¢ntion will assist in the hiTing of a new CEO and the retirement of the CUTrent one
Mr S Taylor
Jon. Hinchliffe has also decided if thing5 go to plan to will the vehicle and his share of Northwood
camp lo the charity so it will be self financing and can ensure FV 3805 and other items are restored and
preserved in petpetuity
Accounts -
We raised no funds from the general public and all our activities were carried out with voluntary work
and the personal funds of the voulenteeTS and trustees mostly Jon . Hinchliffe .
No ccunomic aclivily has taken place direltly through the charity so it has no accounts to show . We do
intend to finally open our own bank account though to this date the diificulties in doing so frorn abroad
has meant that we simply funded things personally with none of the t&x advantages that we could gei if
we had our own accounts .
