Apart from the first Charity Trustees, every TTUStee must be apposnted for a temi of three years by a resolution passed at
a properly convened meeting of the Charity Twstees. Any person retiring as a Charity Trustee is eligible for
reappointment.
Trustees devote their time volulltarily. When appointing Trustees, ¢mphasis is placed on the diversity of skills and
knowledge currently required to be effective. New Trustee$ ar¢ considered and selected for their skills, knowledge and
experience given the operational climate and needs of ihe Charity.

The object of the Charity is to advance the education of the public and EO promote the public appreciation of arts, culture
and herithge with particular reference but not limited to carnival and participatory arts mainly in the Nonh Easi of
England by
Prolnoting public knowledge and awareness of the roles played by arts culthre and heritage with particular
reference to carnival and participatory arts in the past, presellt and future of the Nonh-East Region.
Providing training via carnival clubs in specific skills relating to carnival arts.
ProTriding opportunities for local people to participate in arts. cultural and heritage activities through involvement
in preparation for and perforn￿lCe of carnivals, street parades, open air perforniance and other public events.
Promoting Carnival aTLs and other participatory arts.

We re￿tW our aims. objectives and activities each year. This review looks at wljal we have achieved and the outLomes
of our work in the previous 12 rnonth5. The review looks at the 5ucce5s of ea¢h key activity and the benefits that they
have brought to those groups of people we are set up lo help.
1.he review also helps us to ensure that our aims, objectives and activities have remained focused on our stated purposes.
We have referred lo guidance contained in the Charitys Conunission's general guidance on public benefit when
re￿eWing our aims and objectives and in planning our fuwre activities. In particular, the trystees consider how planned

During the year, Salto Arts Productions contitiued to promote its four main objectives by host]ng the Whitley Bay
Carnival in May 2024 and the Mouth Ot The Tyne Festival in July 2024.
How Our Activities Deliver Public Benefit
Aehievemertis Performanee
Salto Arts Productions continues to rnainrain and further develop its excellent reputatson as providers of camivals and
workshops. The Trustees are satisfied with what ihe Clwity has achieved during the year.
Financial Revi¢
The charity, with the aid of sound financial management, reports net incorne of £6,191 for the year.
Inwesimertt Powers And Policy
Under the Memorandum and Articles of AssLKiation. the charity has the power to invest how ihe trnstees wish.
Reserves Poliey Going Concern
At the end of the year total cash reserves of the Charity aTnounted to £7,202 which were all unrestricted. New donors are
actively being sought to guarantee funding that will 8ustain the Charity's planned expenditure for the foreseeable fvture.

The Trustees are re5ponssble for preparing the Report of the Trustees and the financial statements in accordance with
applicable law and regulations.
Charity law requires the Trnstees to prepare financial statements for each f￿anCial year which give a true and fair Triew of
the btate of affairs of the Charity a5 at the balance sheet date and of its it]coming resources and application of resources,
including inco￿¢ and expenditure, for the financial year.
