FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2023
The Trustees have pleasure in submilling the Report and Awounls lor the year ended 31 March 2023.
Objects of the charity
The charity is a charitable incorporated organisalion and is governed by its Constitution. The obj￿IS of
the charity, as set out in the governing document are..

The trustees note that the Church is not a building, but a gathering of people whose lives have been
hanged by Jesus Christ, the Son ol God. Enfield Vineyard., ils trustees, pastors and members are
ommitted lo loving and serving Jesus Christ by caring for each other and being a blessing lo the area
in which they live.
Revlew of the ¢harlty'$ maln a¢tlvltle$ and a¢hlevement$
To further the above Obj￿1$ and vision, the charitls main activities and achievements were as follows..
uilding$
On 4 June 2022, a blocked sewage pipe in the street backed up into our building, flooding our entire
ground floor,. including the gym, lower hall and Growbaby facilities. This resulted in a 7 month closure
of these spaces while the repair work was Carried out. All damage and repairs were covered by our
insurance, and work was completed on 21 December 2022.
Chur¢h Congregatlon
Our Sunday services ¢onlinLJed as usual, with gatherings taking place on the first floor ol our building.
Our congregation has grown to around 90 regular adults, with an average weekly attendance of
approximately 70 adults and 20 children.
Our midweek Life Groups have continued to expand, with 2 new groups and 80 /0 of the congregation
in attendance.
The Gym reopened on 9 January 2023, where we welcomed back 128 users156 monthly members
and 65 pay as you go users.) Since then we have grown lo 64 members, with 90°/0 ol users coming
from the local community i.e. non-church.
Growbaby reopened in January 2023, although the team continued with emergency appointments
during the closure. Growbaby continues lo provided good quality new and second-hand baby clothes
and equipment Ifor children aged 0-5 yearsl, Completely free ol charge lo anyone who needs it.
Growbaby runs during term limes, with the team seeing up lo 15 clients per week.

Little Treasures is our baby and toddler group for under 5's and runs weekly during term limes. The
heart behind the group is lo create a space where parentslcarers and their children would feel valued,
build friendships and have lun plawng together. Our sessions are free in an attempt to make them
awessible to everyone in our community. We continue to see over 70 families on a regular basis,
including families from Growbaby and CAP.
Chrl$tlans Agalnst Poverty {CAP}
The Debt Centre has seen 34 clients since opening in June 2021. This year we have seen 2 clients
become debt free., with one client attending Tastebuds la course exploring the Christian Faithl and
attending Sunday services.
Job Club look place in August 2022, with 10 clients in attendance. The team is led by our CAP worker
with the assistance of 2 trained Job Coaches and 4 volunteers.
We have regular hall hires who make use of our facilities throughout the week. During the closure,
hirers were relocated lo the Upper Hall where possible.
Most ol the charills activities are undertaken by volunteers and the charity could not operate effectively
wilhoul their ellorts. In planning the activities the Trustees have applied the guidance on public benefit
issued by the Charity Commission.
Flnaneial review
During the year income decreased by £80,500, 10 £187,300, and expenditure decreased by £9,800, 10
£169,500. As a result the cash held by the charity increased by £17,800, to £158,300, 01 which
£156,700 is unrestricted and can be used for any charitable purpose.
Reserve$ poll¢y
The trustees have determined that the charity should aim to hold the equivalent of 3 months,
unrestricted expenditure lapprox. £45,000) in reserves, so that the charity could continue to operate
should income and l or expenditure vary adversely. Al the year end, the charity held unreslricled cash
of £156,700 and the Charity is complying with ils reserves policy.
Governance
Responsibility lor setting policy and for determining the parameters within which the charity should
operate rests with the trustees who meet regularly to monitor the activities of the charity. Responsibility
lor operational decisions and day to day management of the Charity has been delegated to a senior
management team led by the Senior Pastor, Jamie Parnell. New trustees are recruited and appointed
by the existing trustees, through a majority vole.
Key risks and uncertainties
The charity is exposed to various risks - be they operational, financial or reputational. The trustees
review the charity's activities regularly to identify significant risks and, where possible, they lake
appropriate measures to miligale those risks.

Responsibilities of tru$tee$
Charity law requires us as Trustees to prepare financial statements lor each accounting year which
record the receipts and payments ol the Charity for the year.
We are responsible for keeping proper a￿ounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at
any time the financial position ol the charity and enable us to ensure that the financial statements
omply with the Charities Act 2011.
We also have a responsibility lo safeguard the assets ol the charity and to take reasonable steps lo
prevent fraud or any other irregularities.

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come lo my attention in
connection with the examination giving me cause lo believe that in any material respect=
accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 01 the 2011 Act,. or
2. the accounts do not accord with the accounting records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which
attention should be drawn in order lo enable a proper understanding of the awounls lo be reached.
