We provide out ol school hours care tor childien aged 3 10 11 years. We
are Registered with CIW lo care lor a maximum 0143 Children at any one
lime. DBS checks are carried out prior lo commencement ol employment
and carried out again in line with slalulory iequiremenls.
All staff are commilled lo the Club by getting involved in many activities
and ensuring they update their training on a regular basis in first aid, food
hygiene, health and safely and Safeguarding children together with other
courses relevant lo the setting.
All Trustees and Committee members are required to Tead our Code of
Conduct lor Trustees and Committee members and each sign a
Sialement of Acceptance. We are wailing lor a Trustees and Committee
members course tilled Committee Rules and Responsibilities to become
available and all committee members will attend which will be beneficial in
supporting the Management and Sialf in the continued successful running
ol our Club.
We are registered to Peninsula who are an awaid-winning HR,
Employment Law and Health and Safety support experts, who ensure all
our policies and procedures are all up lo dale and in line with CIW'S legal
requirements.
We are a member of Clybiau Planl Cymru Kids Clubs, AVOW IAssociation
ol Voluntary Organisalions in Wrexharnl, Wrexham Family Information
Services and Earl Year's Wales.

The Trustees, Committee members and Club Manager work closely to
ensure the heatth. safely and welfare of all staff, children, visilors and
other individuals who may te affected by the Club's activities and actual
existence. We have daily Health and Safety checks in place which, are
signed each day after checks have been made.

Ob'ectives and activities
The aim of the Group is lo provide accessible, affordable quality childcare
for primary school age children out ol school hours. We hope that our
service will be able lo support working families and those in education or
training and support parents in need ol respite. We also open on training
days to support these families. We aim lo provide a slimulaling play
environment where the children feel happy, sale, valued, and respected.
We provide choice, independence, and development through a wide
range ol play oppjrtunilies.
We follow a Ihree-week healthy menu lor the children's snacks.

When planning our activities and compiling our annual Play Plan we take
into account the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit, this is
discussed at our Trusteeslcommiltee meetings.
Play is at the forefront of the setting allowing children lo express and
develop themselves giving them the lime, space, equipment, and
materials to allow them lo do this. We have a quiet area with a comfy
sofa and TV for that 'home-Irom-home feeling. We also have 'calming
corner. with f1dgeVsen￿ry toys and a laige selection ol books lor those
children who maybe tired after a day in school or just need a place lo
'chill out, for whatever reason.
The play opportunities we offer cover the lull spectrum ol child
development. They range from physical lo creative including=
Large selection ol outdoor equipment, bikes, scooters elc

Team games
Laige variety ol Arts and Crafts
Tabletop and board games, jigsaws
Pool table
Air Hockey table
Baking
We also have off site trips these include the Zoo, Castles, Museums,
Salari Park. Farms and Educational settings.
Children determine and control the conlenl and intent ol their play, by
following their own instincts, ideas and inleiesl, in their own way lor their
own reasons.
We aim to make our activity programme inclusive so that children of all
abilities can lake part.
The staff and Trustees lake an active role in making sure that the Club
comes up to the highest standards ol performance through regular

APRIL- Easter Holiday club - Easter egg hunt, craft and aclivilies.
MA Y - Whlt hall term -we provide a variety ol activities and crafts and cater lor all ages and abilitl85.
JUNE- Summer display. Summer craft. We celebraled'Falherslguardians Day, where the children made
cards and gifts lor their family members.
JUL Y - Holiday club - seasonal crafts and Acliviliès, weekly day ITIPS, trips lo 'Greènacres farm 'and local
parks elc.
AUGUST- Holiday club - seasonal crafts and Aclivilies, weekly day trips lo Xplorel Science museum and
Gulliver's theme park. We also had visits from 'circus skills, and 'Animal Encounters, we also had trips to our
local park elc
.SEPTEMBER - Harvestlaulumn display and 'back lo school, snack.
OCTOBER-DIWALI - craft. HALLOWEEN- children made a'spooky, craft display we had themed activitie5
lor Halloween.
NOVEMBER - Bonfire- Craft. We were gratefully awarded a 'lechnology grant, to provide the club with new
iPads and laptops.
DECEMBER - Winter and Santa display. Christmas crafts, making cards, decorations home. Daily
Christmas challengeslgames. We held 2x fundraising events where we held a late night shopping event for
parents to finish their shopping while the children had food and played games one evening. We also held a
Christmas party with Karaoke, food, games, Xmas craft and a goodie bag.
JANUARY- New year display. Si Dwynwens day craft.
FEBRUARY- Valentine's Day craft and themed snack. - February holiday club activities and trips lo the
park.
MARCH - Spring craft. Lols ol outdoor playing on school playground and field.

Financial review
Victoria Out of School Club's Trustees have agreed lo keep a reserve ol
£30,000. This is to cover 6 months operational costs in the event ol a
loss of income and to meet any unforeseen expendilure that may occur.
However, the reserves held are currently below this and the Trustees aim
to increase the reserves over the coming year. The reserve is built up
from the unrestricted income and the level ol reserves required is
monitored by the Trustees.
