in Northamptonshire and the surrounding area for
the public benefit by the provision of:

basketball.

Advancing education and promoting
community participation in healthy recreation.

Providing grants and bursaries to increase
community participation in basketball

The Foundation has secured funding and grants to
deliver community basketball coaching as part of
its educational and social inclusion projects.
The Foundation has provided bursaries to upskill
and qualify members of the community to be able
to coach, referee and officiate for the benefit of the
sport.

The activities undertaken during the year, as
described above, demonstrate how the charity has
met the public benefit requirements.

Bursary applications are for Junior Members.
Policy on grant making The Foundation accepts submissions for
consideration, these are reviews by the grants
committee.
The members of the grants committee must not have
any connection to the applicant (e.g, coach, team

The grants committee will agree to the appropriate
level of support based on a defined criteria.
Our commitment is to reinvest available funds into
providing free coaching into schools to broaden the
Policy on social investment appeal of the sport throughout the county in line with

The Foundation has a team of volunteers in excess
of 30, between them they cover all management roles
Contribution made by volunteers including administration, financial management,
fundraising, grant applications, welfare, training,
coaching, media and marketing.

The Foundation has worked with other agencies to
deliver various community projects throughout
Northamptonshire.
The Foundation has delivered basketball into
multiple schools to provide Basketball sessions for
children aged 5 to 18 either in out of hours clubs,
reaching in excess of 1000 participants.
The Foundation has run numerous school holiday
camps with events aimed at differing ability levels,
including the first girls only camp.
The Foundation has supported government funded
community projects across the county, providing
free access to basketball allowing children to get
involved in the sport.
The Foundation has operated community club
sessions at numerous locations across
Northamptonshire for participants of all ages,
genders, ethnicities and socio economic
backgrounds.
The Foundation has reinvested funds to provide free
school sessions into schools to an additional 1000+
participants.
The Foundation has developed a thriving and
positive partnership with Moulton College. As part of
this partnership, we provide 3 coaches to support
the Moulton Basketball Academy further enabling
access to the sport.
