REPORT
This is a very short report to state that due to dwindling ability to obtain funds, Guiding Light Leads was unable to carry out any activity for this financial period.
A fund of £462.00 was obtained in July 2024, but was paid in two parts, the first part in July, £231.00 and the balance in October 2024. The project was therefore carried out in August 2024 and payments were made in October 2024. The account for the spending of £462.00 will therefore be submitted for the relevant year, 2024/2025.
Guiding Light Leads did not have any activity serving the community in the financial period of September 2023 t0 August 2024. However, a dinner was held in honour of the charity winning the Jo Cox award for December 2023.
This event was totally funded by the trustees. Donations were given towards a scholarship fund to honour two of the foundation members who had died of cancer in March and April of 2023.
The scholarship programme is ongoing, but the appropriate amount has not yet been realized, it is a work still in progress. The Guiding Light Leads team of trustees is committed to getting this done as soon as is possible despite the very harsh financial situation now. £ 770.00 has been raised of a total of £10,000.00 needed. This will be done.
