Trustee Annual Report April 2025 

This has been a frustrating year,  The project went out to tender and we received applications from three businesses. Only one of these was within our budget and work commenced in \may 2024, 

The deadline for completion of the refurbishment of the school was delayed until March 2025 – completion date was late December 2024. 

However the contract came in under budget, saving us several thousand of £s. 

The delay meant that plans to open for New Year’s Eve were cancelled. 

However we now have a fully converted community centre with a commercial café, solar panels and upgraded heating  The outside has been transformed with a new stone wall, gates and a resin tarmac driveway. 

Plans are now to open in May 2025 if nothing else goes wrong. 

We still have 5 trustees who have seen this project through from start to finish, The village will soon have its purpose built community centre
