can have on the lives of people
suffering from terminal illness, their
family and friends;
b) promoting the inclusion of pain
relief and palliative care services in
health systems, in particular but not
exclusively by providing grants and
expertise to build capacity in health
care systems thereby embedding good
palliative care practices and ensuring
fair and equitable access to pain
medication in healthcare settings for
the benefit of all patients.

Demeter manages its risks through a
standing agenda item at every trustee
