## **TRUSTEES' REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30 SEPTEMBER 2023** 

The trustees present their report and the financial statements for the year from 01 October 2022 to 30 September 2023 

## **Trustees** 

The trustees named on page 1 have served throughout the year except where stated. Appointment of trustees is governed by the constitution of the charity. The Board of Trustees is authorised to appoint new trustees to fill vacancies arising through resignation or death of an existing trustee. 

## **Constitution, Objects and Policies** 

Helping Aid will offer services to the wider community that will include running classes in particular subjects for community individuals who need to develop their language and literacy skills. Providing after school clubs in specific subjects that include Maths, English and Science. - Providing food on a regular and organised basis to local community. - Education opportunities to community 

## **Statement of Trustees' Responsibilities** 

The trustees are required under the constitution of the charity to prepare financial statements for each financial year 

The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities. 

## **Reserves** 

The majority of funds are sourced from voluntry contributions. 

The trustees consider that the reserves held are sufficient to continue the support of the charity objects in future years. 

## **Risk** 

The trustees actively review the major risks which the charity faces on a regular basis and have also examined other operational and business risks faced by the charity. The trustees confirm that they have established systems to mitigate the significant risks.

I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 30 September 2023, which are set out on pages 4 to 6. 

You have approved the accounts  for the year ended 30 September 2023 which comprise the Statement of financial activities, the Balance Sheet and the related notes. ## **HELPING AID** 

## **1 Accounting basis** 

The accounts are prepared on the receipts and payments basis and include the results of the charity's operations which are described in the Trustees' report, all of which are continuing. 

The charity has taken advantage of the exemption in Financial Reporting Standard number 1 from the requirement to produce a cash flow statement on the grounds that it qualifies as a small charity.
