repaired. There hos olso been a one week stand alone
project to fully rebuild 0.8km of the Nova trail from Sorcy
Ground to Hole in the Wall. This involved a commercial
contractor, and three dig days resourced with about15 Dig
Leaders and about120 public volunteers.
Rider community building activity has also stepped up with
regular monthly women's rides and with a step up in our
communications activity. A couple of fundraising film
nights and a bike industry gathering of about twenty
organisations has further raised the profile of Ride Bristol in
the local mountain bike community.
We have continued to foster our relationships with Forestry
England and Bristol City Council with regular contact and
dialogue. A focus has been to lobby FE regarding the future
of the Yer Tiz trail in Leigh Woods.
Three Trustees hove resigned ond three replacements
recruited in the year. The trustees are now helped by an
evolving informal network of specialist supporters in areas
such os management occounts, governance, fundraising,
ond website tech. The number of Dig Leaders has
continued to grow and their expertise developed via
training events, experience and social contacts. This group
of about fifteen people is now a more cohesive and
reliable resource pool to support ongoing trail work activity.
The trail network repaired by Ride Bristol is free to access
by the public and is frequently used by a range of cyclist
from first time to experienced riders
