Dandelion Disability Events is a charitable incorporated organisation ran by Samuel Gillaspy (Chair) and Quinn Godwin (employee). These two-gentleman started Dandelion Disability Events when realising there were no safe spaces for those with disabilities to attend themed events such as parties and functions throughout the county of Cornwall.
Dandelion Disability Events has held one event thus far since becoming a charity. This event was 70’s disco bash held in a local village hall.

Sitting down with Samuel and Quinn, we spent several hours deciding on the correct venue and theme for our first charity event.
Venue renting and times / dates were discussed.
Agreeing on a light-hearted 70’s theme to give guests an easy going and fun theme so as to not apply pressure.
Other topics included choosing a DJ and someone / someone’s to do the catering.
All props and decorations were purchased along with the rental of the space and DJ for the night through donations from friends and families of the charity itself.
