DREAM TRUST UK ANNUAL REPORT 2022-2023
Due to health issues experienced by the Chairman, there have been a reduced amount of activities this year. The Dream Trust UK relies on volunteers and volunteer trustees with no paid members of staff.
However, I am pleased to report that we have introduced some facilities which will enhance our fundraising potential in the future.
-
We have registered with HMRC for Gift Aid Donations and VAT exemption where applicable.
-
The facility to accept donations online has been integrated into our website.
-
We are making approaches to individuals with seasoned charitable experience who could form a new board of Trustees.
In addition to these structural changes, The Dream Trust has continued to help young people with access to work experience and internships including:
-
Law firms
-
Television production companies
-
A visit to 10 Downing Street
-
PR/Communications.
The red telephone kiosk scheme was put on hold until 2024. We are converting a village telephone kiosk (heritage ex GPO K6 phone kiosk) into a community library and jobs noticeboard.
When the works on this is completed, we will launch a template planning application and design drawings uploaded to our website which can be adopted by any village in the country wishing to turn their cherished telephone kiosk into a community library whilst saving on professional architect and planning consultant fees.
I look forward to announcing a new board of Trustees/charity volunteers in 2024 as well as a revamped website and other features.
Yours sincerely.
