Report of the Trustees for the year ended 31 March 2024
The Friends of the John Fisher School Chapel (“Friends”) was established as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation on 4[th] September 2020 as a successor to an entity with the same name which had formed part of the Golden Jubilee Appeal Fund of The John Fisher School. This fund ceased to be a registered charity at the end of 2019 and this gave rise to the creation of the new entity.
During the year, the charity received two significant grants. These were, £153,572 from The Monsignor McLean Fund and £30,000 from the estate of the Late Maurice Reaney. The Trustees are proposing to use these finds for significant improvements to the John Fisher School Chapel.
In March of 2024, the Trustees made an award of £10,000 to fund educational projects at the school. Details of this expenditure will be included in the Trustees Report for 2025.
