## **TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT FOR SWEET PEA BOWLING CLUB CHARITY NUMBER 1191154** 

Our Club became a Charitable Incorporated Organisation on 4[th] September 2020. . We have 9 Trustees as follows: Brian Underwood (Honorary Secretary), John Baker (Treasurer), Irene Lawrance, Ronald Mann, Keith Bailey, Roger Maughan, Bryan Foster, Brian Yates and Sheila Hammersley. 

We were hoping to negotiate a new lease with our Landlords but received news from them that a Developer was interested in purchasing the site to provide a new Care Home. Our year was spent not knowing our future and required detailed discussions with the Developers and their consultants. 

Covid and lockdowns brought further problems resulting in periods of no access for bowls and cancellation of matches. With Government advice some play was possible with restrictions and compliance with advice. The Trustees have managed to meet up using Zoom software. 

We were unable to function properly as a Bowling Club and unable to take full member subscriptions and only charged for roll ups. We managed to take advantage of Government grants during this period totalling £9669. These have, no doubt, kept the club alive as we still had to pay for ground rental to our Landlords, as well as Insurance, services and green maintenance. We also managed to provide some social functions within Covid rules which brought in some income.
