Trustee’s Report

The Trustees present their report and accounts for the year ended 31 August 2022

Objectives and Activities

The objective of the charity as specified in the trust deed is:

The prevention or relief of poverty or financial hardship anywhere in the world. Provide or assist in the provision of basic essentials such as food, clothing, medicine and sanitation. To advance education of orphans and children

Activities carried out to reach objectives

The charity has implemented many projects and appeals in order to achieve its charitable objectives. This includes but is not limited to:

Achievements and performance

The trustees are happy with the performance of the charity this financial period and believe the charity has been able to achieve its targets. Closely matching, and maintaining the levels of the first year, are seen as a good benchmark from which the charity can operate and structure the organization. We have been able to carry out the campaigns we intended and include a few new projects that we have been planning to add since last year. The projects and feedback to the donors have been on a regular basis, so the charity is consistently aiding people where it can

-2-

Looking ahead

We understand that rising living costs and energy prices may take its toll on the charity sector this year. We still believe in the generosity of our donors, but we will be taking extra care planning for the coming months

One of the main objectives after the floods in Bangladesh and Pakistan was to not forget the after effects of such devastation, therefore this year we will be looking to add home constructions and repairs to our projects list

Structure, Governance and Management

The charity is regulated by its trust deed dated 19 August 2020

The charity is run entirely on a voluntary basis and is overseen by Trustees who are appointed. Trustees are appointed through agreements with all other Trustees at a scheduled meeting where the topic is considered. The Trustees are expected to have good integrity, passion and commitment to carrying out the charity objectives. The current Trustees may seek help and guidance from others in regards to the background and character of a new Trustee before appointment

The charity also gets help from volunteers but does not employ or pay anyone for the work carried out (excluding re-imbursements)

New Trustee

We would like to welcome our new Trustee, Mr Shah Shozad Ali to the charity and hope his work ethic and passion can help us further our goals

Statement of Trustees responsibilities

The Trustees are responsible for the overall running and maintenance of the charity. The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees Annual Report and Financial statements in accordance to the relevant laws

The Trustees are also responsible for keeping proper accounting records, safeguarding the charity from risks, taking reasonable steps to prevent & detect any irregularities or frauds and follow & maintain all relevant applicable laws

Financial review and reserves policy

The charity is pleased with the amount of funds it received this year and was able to utilize through various different projects. Although the income was slightly lower than last year we can begin to understand better how to structure and plan our finances for the coming years

-3-

The main source of income for the charity was through charitable donations and the organization was also permitted to claim Gift Aid which helped cover all the running and admin costs, keeping the donations policy at 100%

The charity regularly has a small reserve policy to cover any unforeseen circumstances and in regards to the going concern for the charity it sees no issues for the continuance of the organization for the medium to long term future

Risk Assessment

The Trustees regularly assess and review any major risks which the charity may face at its meetings. The Trustees are satisfied with all the systems in place and can report that no major risks were brought to attention this previous year and no immediate risks have been identified to the running of the charity for the foreseeable future

Trustees Conclusion

The Trustees would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped us in our efforts to reach our charity objectives. This includes all donors, volunteers and the people who helped us implement all our projects

We are pleased to state that the charity was able to carry out many projects and reach a large population of people around the globe. We are slowly building a structure and foundation of the charity from which we hope we can continue to help others around the world
