Trustees’ Annual Report
Charity details
Charity name: The Junction Elite Project (CIO) Charity number: 1191120 Principal address: 98 Gregory Crescent, SE9 5RY Trustees during the period: Aaron Stocker, Belinda Blake, Billy Oram
Objectives and activities
The Junction Elite Project exists to remove financial and social barriers to participation in football, promoting physical health, mental wellbeing and positive social outcomes. During the period, the charity delivered regular football activity for young people and adults across South-West London, including league participation, structured training, and subsidised access through its bursary model.
Public benefit
The trustees confirm that they have had due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit. The charity’s activities are open and inclusive, and provide demonstrable benefit through improved health, wellbeing, social connection and access to structured sport.
Achievements and performance
Over 400 individuals were provided with regular football activities during the period. The charity continued to support individuals who would otherwise face financial barriers to participation, contributing to improved confidence, routine, community connection and physical activity.
Financial review
The charity generated total receipts of £170,437.94 and total payments of £169,581.65 for the period, resulting in a net surplus of £856.29. Cash funds at the end of the period were £1,146.29.
Accounting period
This set of accounts covers an extended accounting period from 1 April 2024 to 31 May 2025. This reflects the trustees’ decision to change the charity’s financial year end from 31 March to 31 May going forward.
Additional note on opening balance
The opening balance includes £265 of cash held at the previous year end which was subsequently used directly for charitable activity expenditure (e.g. match officials' fees) rather than passing through the charity’s bank account.
Reserves policy
The charity aims to maintain modest reserves where possible to ensure continuity of provision and resilience against unexpected costs. Given the scale of activity and cost pressures, reserves remain limited and continue to be actively monitored by the trustees.
Plans for future periods
The trustees intend to continue expanding access to football through fundraising, partnerships and improved organisational systems, while strengthening governance and financial sustainability.
Structure, governance and management
The Junction Elite Project is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation governed by its trustees. The trustees are responsible for strategic direction, oversight and compliance. Day-to-day activities are delivered through volunteers and coaches supporting the charity’s objectives.
Risk management
Key risks identified include financial sustainability, safeguarding, volunteer capacity and access to facilities. The trustees manage these risks through regular financial monitoring, safeguarding policies, and ongoing engagement with volunteers and partners.
