|---|---|---|
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | Fundraising by New Routes UK has enabled our Kenyan NGO to continue to support 4 full time university students from our first intake. At the current rate of funding there is sufficient funding to support these students to the end of each of their programmes (Dec 2023, Sept 2024, Dec 2024 and Dec 2025). We also secured funding for the community programme which saw 6 beneficiaries be taught, mentored and discipled for 3 months. We hope to secure funding for 2 more students to join our university programme in June 2023. |

| Achievements against objectives set |
Para 1.41 | Our objective was to raise sufficient funding to allow New Routes Foundation to continue mentoring, discipling, and educating our first intake of students until the end of their programme years (2023,2024,2025). This objective was met as we gained enough funds for each student to finish the programme. A second objective was to raise sufficient funds to allow New Routes Foundation to continue employing local Kenyan staff. This objective was met as we gained enough unrestricted funds to continue the employment of a local Kenyan staff member. Our third objective was to raise enough funds to start our community outreach project, where we went into a local Kenyan school and taught, discipled and mentored 6 students. This objective was met as we gained enough to run this programme and it was a wonderful success. Our last objective was to start raising funds to secure 2 new students in June 2023. We have started to gain new sponsors and donorsinpreparation forthis. |
|---|---|---|
| We have successfully run a couple of fundraisers (Christmas Appeal and Fantasy Football) which has enabled us to fund |
