The Memorandum and Articles of Association are the goveming documents for Old Trafford Muslim Society, both as a company
and a5 a charitv.

The directors of the company are also the charity trustees for the purpose of charity law. Under the company's articles of
association they are referred to as the'Trustee Board" Trustee5 are elected for th￿e years at Annual General Meetin8. The
criteria, eli8ibility criteria restrictions for the election5 are as per the Articles of Association of the companv.
Our trusiees are recruited through a8reed procedure as stated in our Articles of Association. All relevant information 1$ stated
under the clause of "Management Committee..
Old Trèfford Muslim society is a mtmbefs organi5ation and we have noagreed clause to allow any e¥temal body to appoint
trustet5. The procedure to remove or lor resignation of trustees. is stated in the Articles of Association.
We have no induction package and Comrniltee Day taf8eteil to exptsin our policies and pr¢xedure5 for newly appointed trustees.
There 15 no specific training planned for trustees, however they are entitled to identify training to irnprove their performance.

Old Trafford Muslim Society is governed by its tW5tee board which 15 responsible lor settin8 the strate8ic ￿1￿ctiOn of the
r8anisation and the policy of the charity.
The trustees carry the ultimate responsibility for the conduct of Old Trafford Muslim Society and for ensuring that the charity
5at151ies its legal and contractual obligations.
The trustee5 meet several rirnes durin8 the year and delegate the day to dayoperations to senior Management. The trustee board
Is independent from rnanagemeni.

Poll¢y on reserves
We have a8reed a reserve polity to honour redundancies and other unexpecteil legal costs. Ourtar8et is to have six months
running cost a5 a reserve and are working on the necessary ￿SOurceS to enable us to achieve our reserves policy in the future.

The trustees exrend theirgratitude to Local Muslim Community who have continued to support the operating capacity of the
charity, Old Trafford Muslim Society did not have any borrowin85 from either prowders of fvnding or other sources at 31 March
2023,
Old Trafford Muslim Society aim5 to corbtinually impr¢)ve a¢￿$ to r($ serwces.
We have ongoing consultations with our service users throu8h monthly Service Users Forum meetings to seek members. views,
opinions and criticism about our services.
Managernent committee members meet and review sef¥ices monthly rhrough committee meetings. Memebers will be held
annually where all are invited to look at the service5 and maTragement of rhe projetts. The￿ are three trustees appointed at
present and the charity actively reviews the srruciLtsre and where its deemed necessary io appoint addtional trustee5 this will
follow a due deli8ence proce55 for adding additional trustees as required.

Old Trafford Muslim society has worked on a corporate fisk management exercise. A risk management srrategy and risk register
were agreed by the trustee board. The trusiees re£o8nise that any major risks ro which rhe charity is exposed need to be reviewed
and 5yStem5 Put in place to mitl8aie those risks. To that end Old Tfafford Muslim Society is continually monitonng and mana8ing
its risk, reviewing the corporate risk re8lSter and en5UIIII8 action pthns are in place to miti8ate its key risks.

preparing rhe trustees, report and the financial statements in accordance with the United Xingdom Accounting Standards Iunited
Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice) and applicable law and regulations.
