Objectives and Activltles The principal objective of the Church is the advanment of the Christian faith according to the principles of the Baptist denomination. The Church may also advan education and carry out other charitable purposes in the United Kingdom and/or other parts of the world. Achievements and Perf0mnCe The Church has not undertaken any activities during this period. Financial RevFew The Church has held no assets during this pertod.
UCKAELD WnSTCHUROI Structure, Governance and Management Throughout many years the Church has operated as a "Charitable Unincorporated A550ciation" with the charity recognised an "excepted chartw with no requirement to register and constituted under a Constitution adopted on 12 March 2(NJ9. On 18 June 2020 the Church approved a new Constitution, based on a template for a "Charitable Incorporated Organisation" ICIOI produced by the Baptist Union, working in conjunction wtth the Charity Commission. Application was made to the Charity Commission to registera new charwty and this was completed on 26 August 2020. We intend to transfer all the assets and actiVFties from the "Charitable Unincorporated Association" to the "Charitable Incorporated Organisation" at the beginning of the next financial year. The trustees who have served during the year are set out on page l. Trustees are elected by members of Uckfield Baptist Church and usualFy serve for a period of three years after which time they may. if willin& be nominated a8ain and stand for re-election for another term of office. A break of at least one year must then be taken before they (an stand for re-election again. The minister remains a trustee until the end of his ministry wrth this church. Trustees meet monthly and members, meetings are held 4 times a year with the Annual General Meeting being held in May.
