|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|**This charity was established to replace**<br>**its predecessor established in 1980 also**<br>**known as the Abney and District**<br>**Community Association (Reg, No.**<br>**510122) following advice that it would be**<br>**advisable to move to an incorporated**<br>**structure.**<br>**In the process of transferring assets it**<br>**was noted that the Village Hall was**<br>**registered with the Land Registry in the**<br>**name of the three initial Trustees two of**<br>**who have subsequently died.  The**<br>**ownership was transferred to the current**<br>**Trustees but because of COVID and the**<br>**very busy period resulting from the**<br>**stamp duty holiday the process took**<br>**more than a year.**<br>**We are currently awaiting authorisation**<br>**by the Charity Commission to transfer**<br>**this fixed asset with its specific purpose**<br>**to the new entity,**<br>**Consequently, transferring assets from**<br>**the old to the new entity has been**<br>**delayed and this current entity has not**<br>**started to operate.  As soon as we have**<br>**authorisation from the Charity**<br>**Commission we can transfer the funds,**<br>**close the old entity and start operating**<br>**under the new Constitution.**|
