How you’re charged for your overdraft
Overdrafts are meant to be used for short term borrowing, but they can be an expensive way to borrow money if you are overdrawn most of the time.
We charge you for every day of the month that you use your overdraft, where you go beyond any interest free limit you may have. To understand how much you pay for using your overdraft, please visit our cost calculator at www.barclays.co.uk/overdrafts. You may also want to check your statements to see how much you've been charged for using your overdraft. If you can stay in credit for a few more days each month, your overdraft charges will reduce.
Take a closer look at your spending habits
We’ve introduced a new feature into the mobile app that helps you keep track where your money is going and take control of your finances. Why not visit 'Spending' in the Barclays app to see your spending by category and brand and track your balance over time.
Spending can be accessed via:
- Clicking the ‘Spending’ icon under the account list on the homepage of our app
You can get this in Braille, large print or audio by contacting any Barclays branch to advise us of your requirements.
