We work with research groups, nonprofits, communities, NGOs and governments to facilitate conservation. This includes conducting research, awarding grants, and supporting science-based policy and advocacy. Our work is centred on threatened marine species such as sharks and rays, that serve as umbrella species to the wider marine environment.

Objects: The Object Of The CIO Is:to Promote The Conservation, Protection, And Improvement Of The Physical And Natural Environment In Particular But Not Exclusively By Conducting And Assisting In The Conducting Of Research Into Marine Megafauna Species And Their Habitats And By Raising Public Awareness And Understanding On Such Matters.
