To promote, advance and improve for the
benefit of the public in Coquetdale and the
surrounding area, agricultyre, horticulture
and rural crafts and sknlls in atl their
branches in parbcular by the holding of an
annu￿ show in the village of Harbottle,
Northumberfand.
The trad￿O￿al annual Show was held on
September 6th and had over 750 visiiors
and tt was general￿ agreed to have been a
good day and well supported by the
community.

As usual there was a good range of entrie5
in al classes- sheep, horticulture, crafts
and baking. There were the usual Fange of
tradition￿ sports. This helps ensure the

skn-lls such as spinning, quilting. fiddle
playing. poulty keeping and horticulttjre as
well as supporting creakn.vity in newer fields
such as photwraphy. It brings together all
segments of the community to ￿lebrate
their achievements.

(£2,624) this year. There were a number of
well-suppoiied tund-raising events and the

In this reporting periijd the main sources of
frjnd were the entrance fees on Show day
and fvndraising. FundraÈsing on Show day
indudes the raffle, tombola and auction of
produ￿ as well as donatson boxes,
advertising in the schedule, and sponsorship
of Show dasses. Thiough the year there
was a bingo session and pub quizzes. In
2025 there was an unusualty generous
donation of £IOOO from ￿0 local residents
o value that the Show does for the
area.
