## **TRUSTEES’ REPORT** 

The trustees are pleased to present their annual report on the affairs of Little Bundles, including the Receipts and Payments Accounts for the year ended 10 August 2025.

## **Structure, Governance, and Management** 

Little Bundles is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), governed by a constitution with CIO status assigned on 10 August 2020. We operate on a foundational model, where the only voting members are the charity trustees. 

- Trustees serve a term of three years. 

- Minimum of three and maximum of eight trustees. 

- Trustees are appointed by resolution at a properly convened meeting. 

- New trustees receive a copy of the constitution, latest annual report, and accounts. 

- Since 2022, potential trustees must volunteer for six months before appointment. 

Little Bundles’ objectives fall within: 

- **Disability** 

- **The Prevention and Relief of Poverty** 



Trustees confirm alignment with the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit. Most benefits are provided in kind (e.g., cots, pushchairs, clothing, nappies) to families referred by professionals and support organisations. 

Operations are restricted to Cambridgeshire, which is considered reasonable due to: 

- Local baby bank networks 

- Organisation size and storage capacity 

- Donor location and logistics 

- Relationship-building with referrers 

## **Objectives and Activities** 

Little Bundles aims to relieve poverty in Cambridgeshire by providing essential baby items to families in need. 

- **Referrals received (2024–2025):** 177 (down from 218 last year). Unsure of reason for this, ways to increase our reach to be discussed at the AGM. 

- **Outreach:** Social media and in-person events used to raise awareness 

## **Achievements and Performance** 

## **Operating Model** 

- Continued self-service model from pandemic period 

- Home deliveries offered when referrers cannot collect 

- Healthy stock levels maintained 

- In-demand items and new cot mattresses purchased 

## **Donors** 

- Regular monthly donation covers storage costs 

- Donations from three businesses (one made us charity of the year) 

- Nearly £2,000 raised via Cambridge Half Marathon 

- Nominated charity for Some Voices Christmas concert 

- Decrease in Amazon Wishlist donations 

- Additional donations from Dunelm and Morrisons baby bank appeals 

## **Roles Within the Organisation** 

- Most roles unchanged 



- Referrals Coordinator left in 2024; replacement stepped down due to family reasons 

- Role currently vacant 

- Governance review underway for new appointments 

## **Events** 

- Committee members attended Some Voices Christmas concert and collected donations 

- Five sponsored places in Cambridge Half Marathon—successful initiative 

- Clothing sorts continued with a smaller volunteer team

- Instagram: 237 followers 

- Used for volunteer recruitment, event promotion, Wishlist Wednesday updates

- Liaison with Ely Baby Bank and Growkids Cambridge 

- Non-core donations (e.g., toys) passed to Addenbrookes Charitable Trust (ACT)

- Commitment to providing new bottles, weaning equipment, and mattresses
