## **Achievements and Performance**

and Lockdown.
Charity had a responsibility towards
its members to keep providing them
with support. we had to rely on online
meeting programmes such as Zoom
to run our activities.
We were successful to provide the
members with number of online
activities such as women regular
weekly meetings, Quran competition,
online fun family quiz and a
calligraphy course.
In addition, we organised support and
help between volunteers and
members of the community who were
in self isolation.
We were able to help number of
families by doing their shopping and
providing them with hot meals.
BMACA has collaborated with Sadaqa
(a charity which helps the in-need
population in Reading) in the “Give A
Hand” campaign that provided meals
for refugees who recently arrived in
Reading.
66 meals were distributed to those in
need in Reading. In addition, the extra
funds were donated for meals for
refugees who have recently arrived
and are put in hotels in collaboration
with Local Zakat (Red Kitchen).
BMACA’s youth club have taken the
initiative to help diferent charities
that they are passionate about by
raising money in diferent creative
ways on Justgiving.com.
BMACA also collaborated with fellow
brothers and sisters in the Sudanese
community in Reading with regards to
the fooding as heavy rains have
caused the River Nile to reach record-
breaking levels. BMACA asked its
community members to donate if
they wish to.
BMACA hosted an only ladies' "virtual
cofee evening" where we discussed
concerns and challenges about the
pandemic and vaccinations and heard
their opinions in an informal, safe and
friendly space.
Finally, BMACA organised a debate||

between youth and adults (intergeneration debate) about hot topics that matter to both generations. This was managed and supervised by committee members and volunteers. Although it was done online, it was very successful.
