Achievements and Performance
We are grateful for the Lord's faithfulness to all who serve in YWAM England to sustain us and our partner ministries and charities. We continue to be in a time of change, and being a missional organisation, we are as prepared as we can be for the future, whatever shape it takes and where the Lord leads us.

Select Location Updates and Year Highlights
Many of our teams and campuses have supported The Send igniting a passion for the Lord in thousands of young people’s lives. July’s event at the Ovo Arena in Wembley saw around 6,000 young people gathered together. Where normally
screaming sports fans fill that space, the place was filled with worship glorifying God and praying for revival in the UK and beyond.
At one point, there was an invitation to those who felt called to a life in missions, as a response they were asked to raise their lighted phones. A veritable sea of over 1,000 phones lit up the arena. A further 500 declared they were called to missions overseas.
One sixth-form student present that evening felt the Holy Spirit’s nudge to buy 25 Bibles and distribute in school. He’s now leading Bible studies over the lunch Period! The Send wasn’t just one event, it’s producing a real relationship with the Lord and creating opportunities for discipleship. It’s not just a moment, it’s life with Him.
YWAM Derby has been hosting teams from several nations and running cooking club drop-ins for unchurched young people. On top of this, they regularly visit schools working through assemblies and supporting staff and pupils, and also provide mercy ministries locally to provide lunches, shelter, support and company. They have found time to pioneer new Bible courses in India and run their first 40-week Urban Discipleship Training School.
YWAM The King’s Lodge had much to celebrate as this was their 40th Anniversary. It was a time of joyful reflection. In 1984, a small faithful group of YWAMers moved into the building on a cold day in January and dedicated the property to God’s service. To mark this milestone, they hosted a summer celebration, inviting friends and extended YWAM family to join the festivities, celebrating God for His faithfulness throughout the years. They also just celebrated their Winter Wonderland event. It’s a cherished tradition where the local community is invited to experience the magic of the Narnia story, which, in turn, is a beautiful allegory of Christ’s sacrifice.
YWAM Harpenden hosted the annual Apple Festival too. Around 1,700 people came to the festivities, eating caramel apples and purchasing apple juice made from apples in our orchard. Harpenden has hosted over 150 trainees between three DTS, five second-level courses (communication training, the Bible and more), and three seminars which offered varied insight into trauma healing, hospitality and writing. Several of these courses and seminars were pioneered this year too. All of this, on top of helping to organise The Send Experience Nights.
YWAM Revive London, along with helping The Send Experience Nights all around England, went as a team to the Paris Olympics, connecting with YWAM Paris Je T’Aime and YWAM Paris Connect where they saw many healings and salvations. Revive ran a successful Expedition through Europe and another in Dartmoor, giving many young people the opportunity to hear God’s voice as they trekked through wild country landscapes. They hosted several teams from Fire and Fragrance, Circuit Riders and Wild Hope, partnering with churches in the heart of London.
At Mosaic in Luton, they felt it was time to build and prepare the foundation. They
hosted outreach teams from Kona and Urban Key, held a 72-hour prayer and worship event, and now hold monthly worship events. They continue to build stronger relationships with the local churches, charities and organisations in Luton.
The Immerse team in Cornwall continues to grow. They ran a staff team outreach to the favelas in Rio de Janeiro supporting a homeless ministry. The leaders also visited and ministered to business leaders in Ecuador. Immerse perform many regular house visits to their local communities in Cornwall and you can find them serving at Creationfest every summer.
In YWAM Holmsted Manor they ran a DTS which went on outreach to Argentina and Wrexham. In January they a second Foundations of Counselling Ministry course (FCM). During the summer Holmsted sent out eighteen young people in two teams of through Mission Adventures. A smaller team worked with YWAM Costa Tropical in Spain, whilst a team of fourteen served with a mission partner in Bidache, France. They partnered with Crossover, the food truck ministry that gives a hot breakfast to the street homeless community.
In Newcastle they continued to run evangelism training partnered with Friends International and Agape UK, and build stronger ties with Churches and the local communities.
In Revive London, two more members joined the team and they are now a team of six. They host outreach in Wimbledon, and mobilised evangelists for joint outreaches where they saw 48 salvations, in Wimbledon and Central London. Additionally, they supported Circuit Riders, Carry the Love National Gathering and the Brave Love National Gathering. They completed two expeditions and supported the first SEND Experience night in London.
At Urban Key London, they run three DTSs a year in April, July and October with a Basic Leadership School in April and October, and an internship in June. In 2023, they had 31 trainees from 16 different nations. From Harlesden they ran outreaches to Spain, different cities in the UK, Romania, Sweden, Egypt, and Greece. They also ran a ten-day missions-focused summer camp in the South of England in Bournemouth. They launched a Cafe in mid-2023 called Kaleo Common Ground, and are running book clubs, and seniors clubs. They also have free prayer and counselling sessions. From Willesden they sent outreach to the Notting Hill Carnival and hosted the Living Room as a welcoming place to find Jesus and meet friends. There is a Film Club and also a King’s Kids club for the local community.
YWAM Kausar London continues to support refugees in London and persecuted Punjabi Christians through an online extension course for Punjabi-speaking pastors and young people. They are actively involved in the End Bible Poverty projects and are seeking to produce the second Urdu Gospel as well as an Arabic version.
In Newcastle, York, Leeds and Liverpool there has been a range of new initiatives and
outreaches per charity and plants. They pray, worship, socialise and share the different policies/forms that they need. Collaborating as small teams, they supported each other by hosting outreaches/outreach teams. It is encouraging for them all to come together and build relationships - there are currently only 11 staff members in the north of England. As small teams, they partner with local Christian charities and churches across the cities. For example, they partnered with a local Christian charity that goes into schools and with a church to present The Christmas Journey, a walk-through experience of the Christmas story told from Mary's perspective.
In York, their own community youth group has been partnered with the local church this year, and they have seen Christian and non-Christian youth interacting in the community. They started a new children's club in the Tang Hall neighbourhood that partners with a local church and puts the church in contact with unchurched families.
The Carlisle team continues to lead the Christian Motorcycle Association and maintain a presence across a wide range of motorbiking events. They run residential de-briefings for YWAMers to process, as well as organising men's retreats.
Governance, Appointments and Finance
Appointment of Members
We held our most recent AGM on Zoom on 15 April 2024 where we could appoint members in line with our constitution.
Appointment of New Trustees
John Peachey, Rob Hobbs, Giacomo Coghi and Edwin Fillies were all elected unanimously as new Trustees of YWAM England.
Financial review
In 2023-24 We received a total of £4,897. Donations from locations were down to £4,413. Some missed their annual donation and gave in the year 2024–2025. Donations from individuals were also down to just £60. All donations and gifts are voluntary, we continue to receive donations in 2024-25.
Our total expenditure was £9,129, with 65% of our income allocated to communications and marketing (£3,165). However, this is down considerably from previous years as we partnered with various summer events across the UK where we were given discounted promotional opportunities in return for practical support from partner charities. We also keep in touch with supporters through a digital newsletter and are reviewing the associated costs.
The other expenditure was £2,098 on safeguarding, £2,000 on legal fees and £793 on insurance. The remainder was spent on office costs, trustee meeting expenses, travel, staff care and bookkeeper fees.
We ran a deficit of £4,232 for 2023-24. The main reasons were the cessation of the support from YWAM Limited and the deferred support from the bases. We are confident that this deficit will narrow significantly in 2024-25.
With cash reserves of £46,634 and low operational costs, we are confident that we remain in a strong financial position for a charity.
Policy on Reserves
We have maintained healthy reserves to ensure unexpected expenses can be covered, or times when there is a slowdown in income streams. Given the fixed cost of operating YWAM England is approximately £5,000 per annum, it is reasonable to ensure we have at least three years in cash funds (£15,000) before needing to take action to seek additional funding sources.
We currently have no funds in deficit and have a healthy end-of-year balance.
Principal source of funding
We are grateful for the donations we have received in contributions from other YWAM partner charities in England that benefit from the work done by Youth With A Mission England.
YWAM England’s Mission
To promote the work of YWAM, we had a presence at several select summer events and Christian festivals, serving on their teams, and continuing to build relationships with young and old interested in missional work.
As YWAM England we continue to seek shared support and collaboration between the sister charities across the country to raise the profile of YWAM, to increase engagement with young people, and maintain connections with YWAM Alumni.
As we look ahead to 2025 and beyond we are also committed to supporting The Send into the summer of 2025, to mobilise young Christians and to encourage them to future missions.
