## **1. Overview and Public Benefit** 

During the reporting period, the charity experienced a significant pause in its activities due primarily to a serious heart condition affecting the Founder and Chief Executive Officer. Despite these circumstances, a limited number of suicide prevention workshops were delivered, both directly by the charity and in collaboration with other organisations. 

University interns supported the charity by assisting with website redevelopment and contributing to the charity’s evolving mission and future direction. 

The trustees confirm that the activities undertaken during the year were carried out in furtherance of the charity’s charitable purposes and provided public benefit in accordance with the Charities Act 2011. 

## **2. Governance and Trustees** 

The charity is governed by a Board of Trustees responsible for oversight and compliance. 

Trustees serving during the period: Martin Joseph Beat (Chair) Janey Elizabeth Walters (resigned 03 December 2024) John Walters (resigned 16 September 2024) Elizabeth Frances Hobbs-Rhandi Josiah Raven Hague (appointed 03 December 2024) Dan Trotter (appointed 20 April 2025) 

No conflicts of interest were recorded during the reporting period. 

## **3. Financial Review** 

The accounts have been prepared on a receipts and payments basis. The charity generated a modest surplus during the year. All funds held at the year end were unrestricted and retained for future charitable activities. 

## **Independent Examiner Exemption** 

The charity’s gross income for the year did not exceed £25,000. Accordingly, under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011, the trustees confirm that the charity is exempt from the requirement to appoint an independent examiner or auditor.

The trustees thank supporters, funders, and trustees who stood down during the year for their understanding and continued goodwill during this transition period.
