The trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting. ## **OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES** The relief of sickness and the preservation of health of people suffering from blood cancer diseases by the provision of financial assistance for research into the causes and possible curers for such cancers. The Foundation's primary activity is to raise awareness and improve survival rates in the blood cancer Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. It achieves its aims by hosting a variety of fundraising events throughout the year and indeed through generous donations from the public and our partners. ## **FINANCIAL YEAR IN REVIEW** The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on our fundraising efforts with many planned fundraisers either having to be postponed or canceled. We are, however, pleased to have been able to host a variety of virtual fundraising events such as virtual quizzes in a bid to continue raising the vital funds required to continue providing financial assistance to medical researchers. Following the relaxation in COVID regulations and the ability to fundraise in public once more, we are pleased to report encouraging signs of recovery in our fundraising and financial income and hope this will continue into the year ahead. Despite the challenges faced by the pandemic we have continued to make substantial grants to medical researchers at the Southampton Centre For Cancer Immunology to undertake clinical cancer trials into the blood cancer Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma and at the time of writing this report, I am pleased to confirm we are almost at the £10,000 grant mark which is the direct result of funds raised in this financial year and prior to us becoming a registered charity in 2020. A huge milestone for us and something which would not have been possible without the generous support from the public and indeed our partners. Special mentions and sincere thanks to Mr Martin Berger of the Show Shop UK who very kindly donated his time and expertise to produce our very own fundraising single back in February 2021 which I'm delighted to say became a number one hit in the iTunes UK Children's Chart and continues to be a hit with our supporters at fundraising events and online. We'd also like to thank the Directors and staff of Paultons Park in Hampshire who have been instrumental in our fundraising success this year by allowing us to hold a 'Meet and Greet' fundraising event with our mascot 'Muddles' within the Park back during the August bank holiday to great success and two very generous donations since. The continued support from both parties is very much appreciated. This financial year has also seen the appointment of Nita Hyde as Trustee for The Karen Ingram Foundation. Nita comes with a wealth of experience in the financial sector and is an avid supporter of the work we do. We are delighted that Nita has joined the team and look forward to working closely with her as we move in to 2022 and beyond.
