Financial Review
Future Academy UK rnises funds from the public. charitable trusts and workplace 8iving schemes. Some
funds are restricted to Future Academy (Beirut) charitable activities; all other funds are unrestricted. We do
not use professional fundraisers. When revenue reaches £25.1XX) Future Academy UK will be required to
have their accounts independently examined. Until that tirne the accounts will be reviewed by Trustees not
involved in the day-to-day running of the attivities.
In 2023 total receipts were £8.820 and expenditure totalled £7,523.
All expenditure on charitable activities related to sending one volunteer teacher to work in two refu8ee
camps in Beirut for a total of 254 days. In addition, £141 wa5 spent on goVerna￿e (bank charges and
verifying the end use of funds).
Cash funds remaining at the end of De￿rnber 2022 amounted to £10.191.

We estimate expenditure in 2023 will be approximately £IO.(XK). The increase in expenditure is due to
inflation and the change in Lebar￿ visa requirements (30 days maxirnum instead of 90 days). both
increaslng travel costs forvolunteer teachers.
