## **Trustees’ Annual Report for 2022**

## **H O Roe Charity**

## **Charity Registration number 1190706**

**Address:** 61 Church Road, Stotfold, Hitchin SG5 4NE

## **Trustees:**

Revd William Britt Stephen Hardman Jennifer Bennett

## **Structure & Management**

The H O Charity was registered as a CIO Foundation on 3 August 2020. Its trustees are the Vicar and two Churchwardens of St Mary the Virgin, the Church of England Parish Church in Stotfold, Bedfordshire. The H O Roe Charity is the governing body. It is assisted in the day-to-day running a community centre called the Roecroft Centre and the maintenance of a residential rental property at 97 Church Road by H O Roe Management Committee, which consists of the three Trustees of the H O Roe Charity, plus a treasurer, secretary and an appointed member, who are all appointed by the Trustees.

## **Activities and objectives in 2022**

Regular hiring at the Roecroft Centre was at full capacity and casual hiring is strong. The long-term tenants of the residential property continued.

The H O Roe Charity has employed an architect to develop plans to refurbishing the Roecroft Centre by giving the former Victorian school an entrance, internal floors and toilets accessible to the disabled and to add a kitchen. Planning permission has been granted and the Trustees are currently applying for grants.

## **Financial Review:**

Our total income for 2022 was £26,099 compared to £18,826 in 2021. Income was up because during the first half of 2021 there was almost no hire income from the Roecroft Centre due to Covid restrictions.

Income exceed income by £10,417. We ended the year with reserves of £107,750 compared with £96,330 in 2021.
